I would give them a negative 5 if that was an option. First car didnt have a key inside. Couldnt get in the second car because customer sucked and couldnt figure out how to cancel our first trip. Was on the phone with customer service for 45 minutes, after having to uber to the new car, just for her to tell us "I dont know what to do. You can go to our local office, but they are currently closed." Just a horrible experience with this service.
I was trying to use this service at the university of iowa and they didnt even know what they were doing at customer service.
Impossible to get your license scanned. No help or work-arounds. Worthless app with terrible customer service and support.
I cant even log in. Does this work for anyone? I keep getting a 404 Error.
Worst profanity youve ever heard would describe this app and business. I am beyond disappointed, I have been trouble shooting an Error code 404 for the past 3 months. Their whole business has more flaws then anything else. I sent them emails, no reply, Ive used different browsers, and electronic devices yet no change. I eventually called and the whole time the guy kept trying to hang up on me with his deep ascent. It was something you would see out of a comedy show. Sadly I really need this zipcar to work, and they have only failed me time after time. The man over the phone eventually hung up saying that I would get an email. I can log in online but not on the app, and I cannot submit my finished application process. They dont even have link to where you would be able to fix this problem yourself. All I found out (on my own research) obviously knowing more then the person over the phone did, that it is a "common input and output, HTTP return code, named: not found, A non-existing API endpoint or resource was requested." This business really let me down, and I hope they read this and realize how they need to get their act together.
To the Zipcar people - seriously, how can you release an app that is so buggy it doesnt even let you do the main thing the app is for - reserve a car! I mean come on, did you even run a test version of this before you released it? Youd be better off taking this out of the App Store while you rework it...
I cant even login to my account. One would think that at least should work. Called customer service, who said the app is terrible. Offers 50% off annual membership if you sign up on app. Cant use app. Kinda pointless then.
This is a fine app, tho youd never know it from reading these reviews. Why? People here are complaining about the company, not reviewing the app.
Zipcar used to have a great app. They switched to a new design and now frequently update their app but the performance is terrible. Is takes ages to refresh and show reservations and sometimes they dont show at all. It was a huge step backwards - made months ago but still not caught up with the old app great performance. Also, no new features added to the app in months. Would be nice to have statements etc.
I continuously receive an error / failure message when attempting to log in. I can log in on the website but not the app. The purpose of logging into the app was to obtain the new membership promo. The error has prevented me from becoming a new member.
There isnt a button to tap after creating a username & password, so Im simply stuck & cant move forward. Who wrote this garbage code?!
Freaking awful. Just dont do it. Youll end up paying way more than you bargained for and will have to deal with sh*t customer service if you want to make a failed attempt to fix anything. If you need a car for something more than a taxi, Uber, or Lyft can give; go to Enterprise, Hertz, or whatever other traditional car rental places are out there. Trust me; youll get a better deal, know exactly what youre paying for, and have way more helpful people assisting you in the process. AVOID ZIPCAR AT ALL COSTS.
Zipcar just doesnt care about you leaving your stuff in the car by accident. If you want to open the car can check it around when nobody reserves it, sorry you have to pay for one hour.
I cant even sign into the app anymore
Worthless app. I spoke with a representative who said I could start using the app straight away- however after signing up I found out that this was false information and unless you SIGN up on the app, foregoing all promotions - you cant start using Zipcar until your card comes a week later. Cancelling and getting get-a-round instead.
Instructions say free shuttle at Arrivals at MIA airport. Waited an hour and called 3x to Zipcar asking if its a Zipcar shuttle or Crowne Plaza shuttle. No one knew. So I went upstairs to Departures since thats where hotel shuttles are. After another 20 mins I found a Crowne Plaza shuttle but the guy knew nothing about Zipcar. I got on anyway. I demanded Zipcar shift my reservations 2 hours later due to their epic failure. I wouldnt be so mad except THE EXACT SAME THING HAPPENED AT ORLANDO AIRPORT. Plus I cant go 1 way from Miami to Fort Lauderdale? Im canceling after this. Horrible company, worthless service. Only good if you live in a city maybe.
Trying to register through the app. Entering my billing address. It keeps saying that the country is a required piece of information although there is no country field! Nowhere to enter it.
Latest update doesnt login! I had been using for past couple of years and no improvement in the app at all. The customer service is one of the worst Ive seen. Hopefully the app gets all the features and gets back to working again.
I love ZipCar, been using it for years. I love the convenience of the website, the ease of arranging a rental, and the ease of using the car. The app, however, has become USELESS. It no longer even communicates with the website, so if I make a reservation on the site, the app does not know. So, therefore, there is really no point in even using this app. Get it fixed, ZipCar!
